looking for OTTB grey gelding around 16 hands

Postby francesca » Fri Sep 19, 2008 9:30 am

My eventing trainer is looking for a grey gelding athletic and sound for eventing. He would have a good home and be treated very well. Located in Maryland area. Any leads would be welcomed.

i believe i've seen a couple of greys on the canter sites - mid-atlantic, pennsylvania, new england. and there may be one still at mid-atlantic horse rescue.

Have seen Fingerlakes--8 is getting on. Looking for a gelding. Thanks for input. Looking for forward, sound, brave horse. Lot to ask but will be an eventer...for an advanced rider. Thanks.

We have an absolutely beautiful grey -- he's 16+ and I think he's 5 -- at most 6. We get offers for him all the time -- inevitably people bet on him just because of the way he looks in the paddock. He's going to make someone an awesome show horse someday -- probably dressage -- but that someone is going to need to be an experienced rider!!    You willl not meet a kinder, sweeter, more playful horse. But, alas, he's not brave. We race train him on a track around our field, and it's taken him some time to not be distracted by butterflies or leaves. Just recently, the hayfield was cut and he simply could not comprehend that there was not a "track" anymore because everything was mowed down.

You gotta love him. We'll be accepting an offer probably within the next couple of months if you know anyone who wants an absolutely beautiful, silly show horse

I believe he is 16.1 and some growing to do. I will get the info for you. He is close to me and if your trainer would like video I would be happy to get some.
