Rodeo has 22 starts lifetime, 74k in earnings, which is just over $3k/start. He ran at the races as a youngster, and ended up at the Mountain late in his career - meaning he was earning big bucks early in life, now not so much. Everyone knows pedquery, as much as we love it, is wildly inaccurate - esp when it comes to race records.
Griff if you notice he is for sale to a NON RACING home.

And their first priority is to find him a good home - he could easily be sold as a racehorse but they want to take care of the horse - he is a great tempered animal who oozes class, and wouldn't dream of putting a foot wrong - they happen to LIKE him.
Should they grind him up until he is just a husk, maybe run him another 10x til his earnings are more like 2k/start THEN spit out the leftovers? At this point with breeding season fast approaching he has a chance of a decent home. If they ran him another 6 months who would want to take a chance on a stallion prospect in May? I think they are doing right by the horse, who happens to be a sweetheart and barn favorite.
