The colt has not been registered, as the mare's other foals to date have not shown much at the track, but Auntie Jewel does come from a decent family, as she is a half-sister to NYRA stakes-placed Classic Fran ($148,526), and her dam is a half-sister to Grade 3 multiple stakes winner DRAW SHOT ($615,890). Immediate family of multiple stakes winner CAVANAGH SPECIAL ($381,069), NYRA stakes winner DON DANIELLO ($142,133), NYRA stakes placed Nurse Culkin ($187,651), and six-figure earners Me Me Anna, Little Fran, etc. Might be worth a shot for a NY-based owner looking for a Finger Lakes special for 2010.
