I've noticed the $2000 clm for $8000 running 4 1/2.

If you could PM me the day rate so I can keep it in mind. :D

Ive known people that have been running 1/4's there for years never heard complaints re: track.

The thoroughbreds have to have there A game on and have speed, speed, speed.

It is a very safe track & very good surface, it is simply a matter if the horse can get around the bull ring.

The track is very safe. The gate crew is top notch. The dirt surface is always appropriate. It is a great 5/8ths of a mile track to prepare horses on. I run at Hollywood Park, Santa Anita, Del Mar, Golden Gate Fields, and the fair tracks out of Los Al. Remember, Santa Anita is moving to the dirt surface for the next meet and I can think of no better place to prepare horses to run over here. In a time where other tracks are cutting purses, there are raising purses. $2000 Claimers run for 8k, $5000 non of two run for 13k, $5000 open runs for $18000. Horses are being claim at an amazing rate. For instance, last weekend there were a lot of horese that were claimed. Look at the DRF.com rusults. You will have to have a horse with speed. The Maidens win in about 52.5, the non of twos go in 51 and change, and a family member shipped a horse in last weekend that ran for $5000 open and he ran 2nd with the winner going in 50.68.

An amazing statistic! (I'm sorry. I just got the giggles over that, no offense meant!)

Sorry about that. I was sending that from my phone. Don't worry, I am upgrading to the Evo 4 this week. I will have the ability to proof read the text on that phone before posting.

Those purses are unbelievable. $2000 claimers will probably be competitive at Prairie Meadows next summer for 5k..

Claiming

Postby Gallop58 » Thu Sep 09, 2010 3:54 pm

Does the Los Al "meet" end on Dec 31st? ie. If you claim one, when could you move it out of state? I've always wondered about this at Los Al. Not that you'd want to with those purse levels, but if you claimed a dud and needed to move out state to be competitive, when could you run again?

The purses are better than ever at Los Alamitos.

I am taking new clients. I have just turned out a couple of my own horse out, so I have a few stalls available.

Give me a call or a PM to discuss rates. I will work with your budget. If you are a breeder, I have rates for multiple horses as well.
