I'm so sorry. Our first year breeding Hanoverians was our worst year. Our vet said, "Well now that you got the bad year out of the way, it will be much better in the future." I didn't feel any better, learned some new things, and it got a lot better. We owned our own stallion so we weren't out fees or I would have probably thrown in the towel too.

I KNOW WHAT YOU MEAN....20YRS IN THE BUSINESS...$200k LATER AND NOT ONE STAKES WINNER FROM HORSES THAT SHOULD PRODUCE AT LEAST ONE MINOR STAKES WINNER...THOSE BABIES THAT HAD A CHANCE GOT SCREWED UP BY CARE TAKERS,TRAINERS, OR FREAK ACCIDENTS. YOU CANNOT PLAY THIS GAME IN SHORT PANTS, AND I AM ABOUT OUT OF BUSINESS HAVING TO MAKE DEALS WITH PEOPLE TO TAKE CARE OF THE MARES, RACING STOCK, ETC. NOT TO MENTION THE ? THAT GOES ON AT THE TRACK TO SCREW YOU BECAUSE YOU ARE A 1-2 HORSE OPERATION.

"WHY THEY ARE ALWAYS TRYING TO FIND NEW SUCKERS TO OWN RACE HORSES?" I AM GOING TO WRITE A BOOK ABOUT THE PROBLEMS WITH RACING THOROUGHBRED BECAUSE IF IT HAS HAPPENED, IT HAS HAPPENED TO ME.
