 Just barely when you look at her actual age, not her TB registered age. This got me to wondering what stud owner would allow his/her/their stallion to be bred to a 2 year old filly. I'm just guessing that you are the owner of Alex's Pal also?

Just a reminder folks - this is a classified sales ad for a Guinevere's Kiss, not a discussion about whether it is proper to breed a 2 yo.

2011 F by Alex's Pal

Note the breeders of Carly Pooh > Tom VanMeter and Elliot Walden are no slouches in the TB breeding/bloodstock business, so that says something to me about what the damline of Guinevere's Kiss brings to teh table. Carly Pooh is a mare who was a fairly successful (i.e. made enough to cover/possibally exceed her 'costs' while in race training for the two years I'm seeing her having been raced. Although she appears to have been at most a solid performer at the claiming level that was in against claimers at Aqueduct and Monmouth - which is pretty tough company - so performance-wise she was not the bottom of the barrel. Carly Pooh produced an Alex's Pal filly this spring. She's also produced a colt, Voo Doo Charm by Devil His Due, that is reported here to have made $70k on the track to date, among other of her offspring to race. It would appear that she has some decently bred foals in the pipeline to be raced.

So the mare in question, her 2YO daughter - Guinevere's Kiss, is selling unraced but infoal to the same stallion her dam has now produced a filly from. There's certainly some potential that this 2YO filly (who will be "officially" 3YO when her Alex's Pal foal arrives next year) may have a 3/4 sibling hitting the track just ahead of her own Alex's Pal offspring, in addition to, if not at the least one or two half-siblings who have yet to race.

That is some "lagniappe" potential that you might take into consideration when evaluating this in-foal filly for her broodmare potential.

Guinevere's Kiss has Arch Miss as her 3rd dam who produced one GSW offspring, two GSP offspring and two stakes producers so there is some basis close up in this 2YO mare's pedigree for production/broodmare capability/some "back class" - again note the connections.

Owner: Windfields Farm
Breeder: Anderson Farms
State Bred: KY
Winnings: 21 Starts: 4 - 1 - 6, $32,280

Dam of ARCROYAL (G3); Victory Arch (G3); Twilight Encounter (G3) and stakes producers, Avens and Imperial Miss

Alex's Pal the stallion that Guinevere's Kiss is in foal to is by Valid Expectations, earned >$150K, although no BT, and is a sibling of the stallion: Successful Appeal.

Thanks Winds. If i manage to move her - great. If not, and this will be the only attempt I'll make, she'll remain a member of our merry band of broodmares. Just tryin' to keep it real !
