Secretariat offspring

Looking for any available direct descendants - just for "yard ornament" status. They will be provided a nice forever home. I currently have a 26 yr old daughter and she is my big red yard dog. Thanks

nice to tie some threads together... this mare used to be owned by Dalene and produced a white filly.

Owner: dalene Knight Painted Desert Farm
Breeder: Gailyndel Farm
State Bred: KY

daughter of Secretariat bred just like Terlingua, dam of leading sire Storm cat. Kremlin secretary is the dam of Colorful Secretary (chestnut white overo filly), double registered Thoroughbred and paint.

This is AWESOME! I remember when DK had her for sale and I wanted her so much but she was in OR (couldn't get much further away) and not cheap. I've wondered where she went since then. So glad she will have a retirement home! When she gets home give her a horse cookie in memory of Kristin!

When that lady had this mare for sale she had her plus her foal at her side plus in foal for $5000. I had made deals with her for over a week, had money order in hand ready to send her and when I CALLED her told her I would have it on the way the next day via express mail, she informs me the horse was sold to CA just hours before. We EVEN set a day for pick up!!

NEVER once said she had another possible buyer, lead me to believe I was buying the mare and went as far as allowing me to get a money order just to sell her to someone elce.

Needless to say I do not have anything nice to say about the ethics of selling for this lady. Was very very rude what she did. Was very excited to get this mare and she knew it.

The mare is confirmed blind in one eye and I have set up a 28 x 32 pipe corral for her with a 16 x 12 run in shed for her. Hopefully that will keep her safe. It will be interesting to see how the 2 1/2 sisters get along.

Summerhorse - I sure will let her know that she had another 1/2 sister that had a few days of real love at the end. Cutie is doing great - she is a little weak in the rear right now - but she took a fall while sleeping last week and broke out some wood fence in the fall. So I know that it hurt, and at her age she is still moving around the yard well enough and does not seem to be in pain.
