TBs selling at bankruptcy auction in MD Sun., Mar. 25th

Postby KBEquine » Sat Mar 24, 2012 2:52 pm

Details at

http://cochranauctions.com/Horse-Auction.php?ID=265

Discussion of the horses at:

http://www.chronofhorse.com/forum/showt ... p?t=346608

Apparently, 4 of the horses are warmbloods, the rest TBs. Some broodmares are in foal/stud fee paid, others are in foal/stud fee due. There are also youngsters in various states of registry.

Everything I know about this particular auction I learned at the above links. Just wanted to let people know about it.

Definitely worth a look see if you are in the area. Nice horses and some nice pedigrees.

Nice pedigree on Perfect Slam. To whom is she in foal?

Springboro - she's in foal to Sir Shackleton but I don't think the stud fee has been paid.

My understanding is that Perfect Slam & the mare in foal to Wiseman's Ferry (I forget right now which one that is) will be purchased by someone at Dana Point, if no buyer at the sale bids on them. But I believe the hope is someone else will show up and buy them.

The stud fees on the mares in foal to Northview stallions have not been paid.

Not officially, but:

#1 Perfect Slam - i/f to Sir Shackleton, stud fee paid. $1050
#2 warmblood mare/Freya $1150
#3 Good Lovin - i/f to Lion Hearted $2500
#4 Secret Crypt - i/f to Wiseman's Ferry, stud fee paid. $2300
#5 Clearance Girl - i/f to Desert Storm, stud fee probably paid. $3050
#6 Early Church - i/f to Lion Hearted, stud fee due. $2200
#7 Twointhelowglow - open $2300
#8 My Graduate 0 open$1300
#9 warmblood mare/Nadia $1600
#10 Bouffant - open - $375
#11 Heart of Silver - open $950
#12 Miss Dani - $600
#13 2011 Goofy Broad filly $700
#14 2011 Lucky Lucky Girl filly - $675
#15 Its My Dance $1350 (I think)
#16 Hello Abaxon $2600
#17 Mr R - $300 [something like $1800 owed the Jockey Club)
#18 Fleeting Heart $600
#19 Avasi $475
Numbers 20 through 24: These were all 2 y.o. bay stud colts who weren't identified before the sale. One was a warmblood cross, the rest TBs. They were bid on as a lot, winning bidder could take one or all. Winning bidder got all for $975/ea
#25 Sir Abramson - $550
#26 Warmblood filly - $750

I may be off a little on the prices, but they're close.

NOTE: The "in foal" notations aren't confirmed. The horses arrived at the sale site a month early & what papers arrived, arrived about 3 days before the sale (and not all papers arrived).
