Not having set eyes on either mare I would say Yes, both are worth giving a go as race to breed, although maybe you can get them for slightly less, especially Cling, as she would have almost no commercial value. I actually like cling better even though Bargain Dancer has the potential for being a commercial producer.
Cling was a decent runner, she did well in State bred (New Jersey) allowance company at six furlongs and must have been quiet sound having racked up as many starts as she did and she is $100,000 earner. Her 1/2 Son of Savaje was also of similar quality and had some real speed, winning a 6 furlong state bred allowance at Monmouth in 108:52, I think a very good time on that track. Very little black type in the family recently, no producing sisters. 2nd dam had 12 foals, 11 runners, 8 winners. Only one other decent producing daughter - Dab who had the stakes runner Jersey Fresh. A sound family with speed, not commercially viable, would have to see her.
Bargain Dancer has some commercial potential, although I would not be inclined to take a chance on her personally. I like the overall pedigree, 1st dam is still active and getting good stallions. She has a 2000 filly by Grand Slam who does not appear to have raced but you gotta believe will be given a chance in the breeding shed. 2001 Carson City and 2002 Devils Bag sold well...have not seen on track. North east Bound, the million dollar earner is under this family..too far back to help though. This family may be coming together does have some potential. A yearling from this immediate family is in the fasig-Tipton Kentucky sale this month Hip#822. Hope this helps some. Just curious, being in maine where do/would you go for stallions and where would you race the babies?
