Any nicely coloured colts out there???

Postby TrueColours » Sun Aug 21, 2005 10:14 am

Please keep this in mind for foals of 2004, 2005 or 2006

I need to find a really nice coloured stallion prospect colt for a client, something OTHER than the Puchilingui or Guaranteed Gold lines (they already have enough foals/mares/colts from this line and need to find another line to cross them with)

Something that will finish well over 16hh, good conformation and movement, lots of white markings (dual registered or eligibility for dual registration with the APHA a bonus! :) ) and ideally something that is a weanling or yearling - max a 2 year old - as they will also then need to get it ready for the stallion approvals as a 3 year old and want to have time to work with them

If anything comes to mind, please contact me at:

[email protected]

Many thanks! :)

I know of a nice dark bay colt by Racey Remarque for sale. He's a yearling I think & carries both the frame & sabino gene. He's expensive but email me if you want more info & I can point you in the direction of the ad. I also have a 4 mo sabino TB colt but I'm not sure he's for sale. We can talk though. stacey4401 AT aol DOT com.

I know of a Flame Thrower yearling colt that is the closest thing Ive seen to a palomino. The farm calls him James Blonde. Im sure he's not for sale for anything reasonable, as hes a half brother to a Grade 1 filly, but who knows down the road what could happen.

I have a huge chesnut colt with a blaze, but I'm not sure he has enough leg white for you. He is reasonable price wise, but I'd really like to see him run.

I think I read a while back that you were keeping an eye out for fillies/mares with color...there are two on CANTER PA that look promising:

Best of luck! AK

I saw those two Canter PA mares. Annie's baby sure made me stop and look twice but I couldn't find her in the database.

There is a colt on Thoroughlybred.com that might fit the bill...

Great looking colt by Storm Cat's son, Catienus. Catienus is the sire of stakes winners Cat Shaker, Dawn Of War, and Kathern's Cat. He is currently ranked #14 leading sire in the state of New York with over $1 million in progeny earnings. First crop sire of 23 winners. Out of the Conquistador Cielo mare, Julie Apple, a 12 race winner herself with earnings of $63,000. Dam of Luxor ($68,000). We have many other weanlings, yearlings, and broodmares for sale.
