Postby DLC » Sun Aug 28, 2005 12:12 am

Must sell strictly because of financial reasons. In foal to DANCE MASTER (booked full '05) for a late March/early April foal. Beautifully balanced, correct 15.3+ bay 1998 mare that is an absolute joy to deal with in all ways! By Pentelicus who is fast becoming a broodmare sire. Extremely kind and quiet w/no vices. A++ Werk nick. A Pentelicus daughter is already a proven winning cross with Dance Master.
Price reduced to $7,500 on a QUICK sale with all fees paid.....NICE package for the money!! Located in Ocala, FL.

***Versatility....2 yr. old Dance Master won on 8/19 at 5.5f and another on 8/20 at a mile. SEVEN 2 yr. old '05 starters as of this date....SEVEN Winners!

STATS on Dance Master:

$1.2 million sales horse and Grade 2 winner as a two-year-old, DANCE MASTER has been quick off the mark to sire fast, early runners.

His first crop includes Canada's highest rated juvenile of 2004, FLAMENCO, a triple stakes winner who ran just 2 lengths behind Preakness/Belmont-G1 winner Afleet Alex in the Hopeful S.-G1 and MERTIE M who won a stakes at Calder on July 24, 2005.

DANCE MASTER's second crop already boasts 7 starters, 7 winners, led by $600,000 OBS sale topper Master of Disaster, who equaled a 5f track record winning his career debut by 13+ lengths and then ran second in the Saratoga Special S.-G2.

DANCE MASTER has also proven he can sire a top sales horse-his 2005 2yos in training are averaging $128,286.

Am I seeing this wrong? I find two stallions by the name of Dance Master...one is a '98 and the other is a '97?

Thank you.

Where are you seeing a '98? There is an '88 Dance Master who is a gelding by Dancing School and the "correct" Dance Master (who this mare is in foal to) is a '97 stallion by Gone West out of Nijinsky's Lover who stands at Padua.

I went to the Database and have the printout in my hand. I looked at it several times before asking on here. I know that the facts on the Database aren't written in stone. He is supposedly by Nureyev, out of Bay Queen.

The confusion is due to the fact that there is a '97 model named Dance Master that is in Ireland and whoever entered him in the DB did not select the country of birth. If you go back to it now, I have edited him to show (IRE). The Jockey Clubs don't "synchronize" on names.
