Mare For Sale in Texas - Jaded Ridge'86 - $2000

Postby jellac » Sat Oct 23, 2004 9:09 pm

I am posting this for a friend. She is not a TB breeder, but rather a color breeder who happens to have a few TB race mares in her broodmare herd. She was going to ship this mare to Keeneland, open with a $4000 reserve, later this winter but is willing to sell her now for $2000 to facilitate a quick sale.

She is an '86 model. She is OPEN, with a late '04 foal that was recently weaned.

Her Pedigree Stats (per this db/site) -

DP = 13-9-11-1-0 (34) DI = 4.23 CD = 1.00 - GSV = 69.93

Her Racing Stats (per AR) -

Raced 2YRS - 8 Lifetime Outs - (6 Dirt sprints/2Dirt Routes) - Placed once in sprint, LTE = $4320

She produced the Stakes Winner of $43K+, DR. GIGOLO (by Broad Brush) and some useful runners to date.
She is a daughter of Cox's Ridge out of the SW and GSP mare LIEN, winner of >$150K and a Producer.

This mare is half to several BT horses, including G-3SW, JADED DANCER, winner of >$120k and NEPHRITE winner of >$150k. There is some depth to her female family up close.

She has a decent "page" for someone wanting mares to support a stallion.

Her dosage profile is nice, a good balance between Brilliance, Intermediate and Classic influences but not so much pure precociousness as is so often seen, with some points/influences for stamina in her pedigree.

Her GSV is fairly high, indicative of bloodstock quality and has produced the one BT Winner noted above. She has been in fairly regular production and has at least one of her more recent foals on the track now and a Cien Fuegos foal of '04 yet to race. To my knowlege she doesn't have any reproductive/breedability issues - she was not bred back due to the late foaling date of this '04 foal. (NOTE - I have never seen this mare, so can only say so much.) I do know that the owner was motivated to reduce her expectations and go ahead and sell her when one of her stallions developed EPM and will need some very expensive treatment.

If you are interested contact me - I'll forward or copy any responses to the mare's owner and let her follow-up with you. I can get some photos that were taken recently e-mailed to you.

I have updated/edited my earlier post on this mare - with most of the changes in BOLD above for those that have already read it.
