Are the horses that sell at the Fasig-Tipton New York Horses of Racing Age Sale generally horses in decent racing shape that haven't shown much potential or on the decline, or is it littered with injured or lame ones?
Anyone have any insight into the sale and any experience -- good or bad? I'm interested in some of their offerings but not sure how many landmines I'll be dealing with.
Thanks, Mark

Hi Mark,
Caveat Emptor - Buyer Beware.
It's a lot like claming the horse without the race. The PPs of the horses tell you a lot about what you can expect.
If you're not experienced you're shooting in the dark.
The few horses with something left are generally well known to the trainer community and they pay for the horse. I'd use extreme care (I don't even attend this sale any more).
Regards,
Pete
