Lycius mare out of a stakes winner: $750 or best offer

Postby BargainBlueblood » Sun Sep 19, 2004 1:33 pm

Hey folks. I have been working with a few trainers at the Northampton Fair in Massachusetts to help them sell their mares; the meet ends today (Sunday) and the horses have got to go.

One mare in particular is quite interesting at a price of $750 or best offer (the owner might take less just to move her). Her name is Forty Licks, a very nice looking 3-year-old-filly by Lycius out of multiple stakes winner FLY MISS FLY ($171,429). Forty Licks is a half-sister to Grade 2-stakes-placed Excelerate ($302,567) and to another horse who earned $93,000.

You can view the catalog page for this family at:

I have a photo of this filly as well if anyone would like to see it. She MUST sell today.

Sorry it's such short notice, but I think she's pretty interesting at this price.

Best,
