"Bargain Dancer" 1999 Mare

Postby Barelystable » Sun Oct 31, 2004 3:20 pm

Hi all~

Wondering what everyone thought of the mare "Bargain Dancer" by Mieseque's Son o/o Speedy Spender. I am looking at her as a possible broodmare prospect. She seems nice and is sound...15.2 dark bay, very pretty...wondering what her record looked like and if you like her bloodlines? :-) Thanks all,

Lynne

Do you know where she raced? The name sounds familiar and I think she was under my care at one time? I had her in Florida. raced at Gulfstream Park and Calder

I looked at her listing as well- I'm new to researching pedigrees, but not horses in general. I thought her pedigree looked decent, and her GSV seemed decent to me as well. Course, I'm new at it, so what do I know!

The only thing I didn't like was her general conformation (at least based on the photo I saw). I like a well put-together horse- if you looked at the Southampton listings in September, I thought Forty Licks was a beautiful mare.

Good luck if you buy her!

Sorry... I meant Northampton, not Southampton, when I mentioned the mare Forty Licks!

And by "conformation", I meant her general appearance (not any "flaws")... I like a horse whose looks make you think, "wow!". A beautiful horse is usually a reflection of good conformation...
