Bear with me as I'm NOT a bettor, and this may be a stupid question, but what the heck are "fixed odds?" Does that mean that everyone in the world can play this horse to win and he'll stay at 13-1? How is that possible?

Fixed odds = Betting with a bookie or Betfair as opposed to pari-mutual where the odds are varible until all the bets are in.

and depending how much action each hoss get the odds the bookie or Betfair offers will go up or down. When I was in england in 2005. I bet mostly with the books. Loads of fun price shopping on a hoss you like with the many on-site books. Lets say a horse is 3-1 with One book. Just look around for 100-30. You are almost sure to find one who needs to "round"
his book (so he makes a profit no matter who wins) and get 100-30 on a legit 3-1 hoss. :-)

It's being shown on TVG tonight. I noticed there was a preview of it on TVG this morning but I didn't get to listen to it.

If you're a TVG member you can download free pp's for the Australian races, if I remember correctly.
