Your right. I've burned many a ticket where i bet a horse strickly on pedigree, yet one of my best friends swears his "sheets" are the best and i've proved him wrong many a time. Much is luck, the trip, and horses have their good days and bad days. I grew up admiring guys like Shug McGaughey who bred the best to the best. Of course it doesn't work out alot of times but i belive in it more than not. I can't take a Dutrow horse out of post 20 who has had 3 races out of a sire who hasn't produced many classic winners. I feel big field races are prime opportunities to make some big money and to me Tale and Court at 15-1 & 20-1 are great values for such blue blood. this being said it won't shock me if Brown and Pyro come one and two or the California horses come one or two. I like my two, tale who will sit just off the pace and court who will gobble up groud as hopefully others fade. If people are right and the Wood was a lousy bunch, oh well, i'm cool with it.
