5th at CD May 1

Kissin Bobby Vicar, our homebred filly will debut from the 4 hole. She is in very tough, open MSW Derby Week. I'd use her in your exotics. She is fit and appears very quick contrary to what her pedigree might show (two turn and turf). Three bullets at the CD training center.

I will be watching, too.. by the way that is a very cool name! Hopefully she will cruise into the zone and cash a check. So who ELSE do I use in the exotics?

One of my mares has a colt in the first race, Got Holy Spirit.

Good luck!

Kissin Bobby Vicar bumped with the three horse 2 or 3 times coming out of the gate, was checked and never recovered. Ran 6th but learned a lot. Came back sound.

Kaylee ran 3rd but it was a very tough race. The 1 horse in that race ran 4th but had beaten the track record horse from the day before.

I watched all 3 races. Kissin Bobby Vicar (BTW I love that name!) was knocked around a bit, glad to hear he came back sound..thats the important part. Kaylee made me and his 1/2 sis very proud, he is now the 4th stakes placed 1/2 sib that she has. Not bad for a first start....was it Bobby's first start as well?

Kissin Bobby Vicar

Postby hpkingjr » Thu May 01, 2008 6:45 pm

First out for Kissin Bobby Vicar. Her name comes from her dam (A Loose Kisser) and sire (Vicar). Well to be really honest my wife had an old boyfriend named Bobby Vicker, so her name became Kissin Bobby Vicar. I actually liked Kissin Bobby better than other options.

Great story behind her name. I thought it was from her parents but couldnt figure out where the Bobby part fit in.

What a great story! My Mom used to work in prisons in the area and now she is a "principal" at a school for boys ..basically its a place they go when they get in trouble and thrown out of school and before they get so bad they go to jail..they are "at-risk". She has said she wants to build a bunk house here and use it as a sortof halfway house for people getting out of jail to learn a trade (whether its working with our horses or maintenance ect)...I just love programs that allow troubled youth to work with horses.
And your filly is adorable :D
