Delta Jackpot Saturday Nov 20, 2010

The Delta Jackpot is scheduled for today and I like Bug Juice to lead from start to finish. He comes into the race off a bullet work over the track and has a big speed advantage over these. This is a 6F main track and speed is a plus for getting early position and maintaining it around the turns. Should be a nice price.

Bug Juice was hounded from the start. That colt from Florida just picked up the pieces. Nice pieces to pick up with a million dollar pot.

When he dropped to 2-1 I got off of him and I am glad I did. He ran for 6F and when the real running started he had nothing to offer. I don't know if J.J. was trying to rate him a little, the splits were not that fast, but that first time around two turns is a killer, especially for 2 year olds.

If Bug Juice doesn't make it as a racehorse, I'd be delighted to make a field horse out of him. Maybe he can stand out in foxhunting and point to point.
