What is it about you, I answered your first query in the affirmative then you come back on and say your bank is low and you only want to play the race of the day. If you mean $20.00 real dollars you get the rest of the field and I have The Factor, nice try. Do you think The Factor was all out at the 6F marker in the Rebel? How about this, I'll wager any amount you want on The Factor if you choose one horse to beat him to the wire today, over a track he likes.

Dance City
Know Im not in your games for betting, but I agree about Dance City. He is stamina bred on the bottom side for sure, and has only run at a mile or more. I think its actually a shame if Pletcher is only running him for a rabbit, and he cant go the whole way because of fractions intended to run The Factor into the ground, he surely has the potential to a "factor" in the race, except I think he is just there for The Factor. Myabe we will see him later
You do not have to be part of the game to comment here. I agree that Dance City has some speed but that 1:11 and 1:36 4/5 mile nose victory in his last indicates to me that he has not shown The Factor speed to date.
I know old Whirlaway can't wait to tell me I am all in on The Factor, now that was moronic.

DDT,
A good fine thanks for reminding me my bank is really low and I'll need all I have come the first Saturday in May. I just couldn't help but think by reading your post that irregardless, The Factor will win. Do recall these dead gut favorites with high Beyer Advantages: Twirling Candy, MuchoMachoMan, and Uncle No. Of course I may have missed a few, but there seems to be a pattern . . .

He could like the track, maybe not, he hasn't told us. He could have won the Rebel on class alone and dislike the track. You wrote, "Do you think The Factor was all out at the 6F marker in the Rebel?" Probably not. I figure today they'll go faster, likely 22.4, 46 flat, 69.4 for the six - if he goes that fast do you think he'll have any kick? He only has so much energy, most all of em' go fast early slow late. Will he be da kine to bend time skew the laws of physics and go fast early fast late . . . I don't think they make em' like they use to . . . we shall see.

Add The Factor to the list of horses that did not make the board. It makes you wonder why we even try to pick a winner each day. This will happen when we rely on information concerning races that have already been run, it is difficult to predict the future using the past as a guide.
Oh well, back to the drawing board.
Have a good week.

I've been following the Derby Trail for several years now and can't say as I recall there ever being so many Derby prep race favorites losing: MuchoMachoMan in the Louisiana; Soldat in the Florida; Uncle No' in the Wood; Santiva in the Bluegrass and now The Factor in the Arkansas. We know, have observed and have found the pattern, but why and how come now?
I think we may be overlooking something in the data set - something is there we just haven't seen it - the forest for the trees. Maybe we are accepting the data prima facia without understanding what the data means in its full context; something is there but it is cloaked - maybe it is something new, something different; maybe a new combination creating a different and new result, gotta be somethin' there! Wonderfully perplexing and terribly vexing it is. I think once all the data comes together, once all the past performances are compiled on one or two pages, I may be able to figure it - maybe not.

As most of the chalk is going bust, there is one thoroughbred that is sittin' pretty sweet right now, his name is Dialed In. Layin' low over there in the Sunshine State, he has done all that has been asked of him. I believe he is "your" horse and he has done you well this Derby Trail - particularly in the Florida Derby. Must be good feelin' to have an Ace in the hole, must bring a smile to your face knowing you've got da kine ready to rumble come the big dance. He must be the one to beat. I've only got one question, what makes him any different from the rest of em', why hasn't Dialed In gone bust in a Derby prep?
Lookin' forward to the Kentucky Derby. I'm gonna win this thing yet.

DDT,
Interesting race . . . I think w/some racing luck Justin Philip might get these.
$ 20 W Justin Philip
$ 20 W Cal Nation - Scratch
Best of racing luck and may the best horse win.
Looking forward to the Big Dance.

DDT,
Congrats, fine pick.
The situation is looking particularly dire for me. There appears to be no way to win the points and a victory in the bank looks just as tough - I won't throw the towel in just yet. I'll be bettin' it all come first Saturday in May, maybe, just maybe I can win the bank. How bout' you win both the bank and the points and be declared the winner of these Games . . . I win the Kentucky Derby!
Once again, congrats.
Lookin' forward to the big dance.

Turning for home I thought your horse was going to win it, but my selection ran on and won. I am not too sure what this contest has shown us. First, it is very hard to pick a winner in advance of seeing the track condition and the horses. Second, we both have had some bad luck as well as bad wagers. I would like it a lot better if I was able to show a plus on the bank, however, I don't see that happening unless I get a couple of good priced winners in the next two weeks.
It has been done in the spirit of competition.
Let the game continue.
Have a great weekend.
