Shaman Ghost, Undefeated over 3 different tracks since removing the B's, worked 3/4's in 1:11 at Woodbine.
Academic, Reade Baker won with this one at 66-1, undefeated as a 3YO after removing B's. Could wire these?
Conquest Bugaloo, switch to Alan Garcia, the 1 1/4 mile distance is perfect for him, strong closer...needs racing room.
Ami's Flatter, Contreras on, B's off, strong works...improvement expected.

It was a fantastic day at Woodbine. Last year's top older mare, Strut the Course, was awesome in the Dance Smartly.

Aldous Snow won the Singspiel for the 2nd year, in a dog fight against Dynamic Sky down the stretch. He is a little warrior of a horse. I don't know if anyone here has seen Java's War in person, but he is tiny. He has got to be the narrowest, lightest-boned Thoroughbred I have seen. He looks like a 2-year-old filly!

Go Blue or Go Home got back to winning ways in a course record in the Highlander. That was a real shock, I really thought Something Extra couldn't lose. I hope they send Katie's Eyes to the BC Turf Sprint, she was flying at the end.

But the real star on the day was the Queens Plate winner. Shaman Ghost has such a huge kick. He is an absolutely gorgeous specimen, he just oozes class. Billy's Star wrecked my superfecta in that race (I had Portree who was nowhere, to fill out the bottom), but thanks to Aldous Snow and Strut the Course I came out on top with more than I went in with. Academic was really bet down based on her win in the Oaks, but she folded like a cheap shirt when Sweet Grass Creek went with her and then passed her. She came home safe, but she was last and tired. Ami's Flatter was a real disappointment off his promising spring. Danish Dynaformer lost nothing in defeat, he just doesn't have the closing kick Shaman Ghost has. I hope they give DD a break, and bring him back in the Breeders.

Woodbine puts on a good day of racing.
