Beholder Spikes Fever

Postby TJ » Tue Oct 20, 2015 8:40 am

Beholder shipped to Keeneland yesterday and this morning she spiked a fever. Hopefully it's just a touch of shipping fever and it won't interfere with her running in the the Classic. Article below. TJ

So far so good....here's an update after Beholder was checked out. Looks like it was just shipping fever....but they will not rush her back to the track till they are certain that's all it was. TJ

I hope she'll be OK. Just because, and because if she should lose to AP next Saturday (I'm hoping he Grand Slams it!), then I don't want to hear the endless chatter of "he only beat her because she wasn't 100%". Whoever wins, want it to be fair and square... so get well soon, Beholder!

Beholder's temp returned to normal this AM (10/21) and Mandella is confident the spike in temp was due to shipping. Beholder will have additional lung scans and blood-work today and if all is clear, will continue training toward the Classic tomorrow. TJ
