Cree wrote:This race was exciting...until now. 2 of the horses that would go with American Pharoah on the front end are scratched. I don't know if if he will have it easy, but this race has watered down a bit. Liam's Map should've been in the Classic. :-(

Hard Not To Like and Talmada are out of the F & M Turf.

Hi Cree,
I agree it really lost its luster. I picked against AP, but there really is no reason for him to get beat the way the Classic fell apart. I still think the distance is his nemesis, both 1 1/4 mile races were not with his usual flair. Only winning by one length in the Derby and Keen Ice handling him the next time he tried the distance in the Travers. The Euro horse, Gleneagles has been pointing for this race all year...owner and trainer must know the horse can handle the dirt. He's out of a full sister to Giant's Causeway...who was also owned by the same people (Magnier and Tabor)....and he shipped here for the BC Classic never before being tried on the dirt and ran 2nd beaten a neck to Tiznow. So I'll take a chance that he might press AP early and make a race of it, while allowing the closers a chance to make a strong run. Though I wouldn't mind eating crow and watching AP win it with the flair he's shown us before and I'm just dead wrong about his ability to go this particular distance.....he truly does deserve it, a great horse:>) TJ
PS the handicappers picked the 1st race already at Keeneland...watch these folks.

That was a beautiful race. She just floats around the track. Very impressive win.

In the FM Sprint I'm going with Stonetastic, and at 75-1 I'm going to take a flyer on Room For Me.

Stonetastic is lovely. I do not remember her that light-coloured. I am sticking with Taris.

La Verdad is one of the toughest mares around. That was a very impressive race by her. I thought the winner ran huge, but it did set up for her.
Taris also ran a good race, looked like she was dropping back but came on again.

Hi Cree,
She got shuffled back a bit....Stevens should have been more aggressive with her from the start. He claimed against the 2nd horse but it was disallowed. I keep getting hurt in the PK 3 with close 2nds...but spread in here and used the winner because she's been close to La Verdad before. Let's get going picking some winners:>) TJ

Legatissimo
Queen's Jewel
Secret Gesture

I dunno. These Euros just look better than the N. American mares.

Haha. Oops.
Nice win by Stephanie's Kitten (sorry, have a hard time rooting for Ramsey...but she is a nice mare).
Legatissimo had a bad break, got squeezed down on the rail, and had to swing out wide. The ride might have made the difference there.
