Hmm... I am not convinced a son of Twirling Candy out of a Songandaprayer mare is a 10 furlong horse, especially with his style. But a nice win for him.

It does seem that way....but he sure handled the dirt pretty well considering he leans toward turf racing...being out of a 1/2 sister to hard knocking 4.3+ million dollar turf earner, Better Talk Now. TJ

I did not look at his female family, thanks for pointing that out.
I think moving forward I am still leaning towards Mor Spirit being the "top" California horse. There's just something about him.
