California Chrome took the lead and never looked back while beating Dortmund handily in the GR I Awesome Again Stakes. He carried 125 pounds to victory while the rest of the field carried 121. As big and beautiful as California Chrome is, he looked like a peanut running inside of Dortmund today:>)
Beholder once again lost to Stellar Wind by a neck, in the GR I Zenyatta Stakes with both fillies also carrying 125 pounds. Espinoza picked up the wins in both these GR 1 races at Santa Anita today.
Flintshire was easily defeated by Ectot in the GR I Joe Hirsch Turf Classic run at 1 1/2 miles, over today's yielding turf course. Below are the race replays. TJ

The faceoff between Chrome and Dortmund reminded me of the roadrunner and the coyote.

I swore I saw Chrome turn his head to the right at the start of the final turn and say, "BEEP BEEP."
