She has Sky Princess in the second race. Best of luck all-around and safe run, and hopefully a big check for icing of the cake.

Hi Madelyn,
She's a gritty son of a gun. Looked like she wasn't handling the track, yet she still kept trying hard for the first 1/2 mile....till she tired herself out spinnin her wheels over that track. They were rolling up front too! Looking forward to her racing on the grass so she can put that Sultry Song family to good use:>) TJ

Thanks TJ it's always a question mark about surface when they win on Turfway's poly at the beginning. That synthetic is a kind of a Frankenstein track that started out as on thing, got tons of sand and other stuff added over time and then they bought a bunch of the used track when Keeneland tore that out. They mixed that in. It is like no one else's synthetic.

The challenge will be finding her a good spot on the turf at this time of year. Churchill's grass ones for F&M are all going long. Belterra has one going 5f.

Hi Madelyn,
Yes I see your dilemma trying to find a turf spot for her on the turf right now. The turf race at Belterra might be a good spot to see how she handles it...were you looking at the one on May 14 or 20?
One thing I like about grass is...if they like it they will surprise you. I've had horses that would stop after a fast 1/2 on the dirt...than stretch out going long on the grass and they never look back. I really like your horse being out of a Sultry Song mare too....SS could run on anything, turf, mud, fast, long, short. Looking forward to her next try. TJ
