OH MY GOD! He is gorgeous!!!! So black and such a beautiful shaped horse. I'm wondering if he is related to Sunday Silence?? They have alot of the black horses over there from his relatives.

Thank you for posting that. Have not seen one look like that stretched out so big since my beloved Ruffian.

OH MAN! I have a Devil His Due, wanting and hoping for a black one, not the only reason we went to him, I liked him when he was racing and how sound he is, but why oh why could I not get one that looked like this one.

Hi Sunday! Thank you for posting those incredible photos. What is it with all those horses over there? Not only do they run great, but they look like beautiful show horses as well.

It seems like they like the pure black horses. Man, does this mean I have to go all the hell the way over there to finally get one?! LOL

I enjoy all your information on the pure black TB's. They are gorgeous. Looks like Deep Impact is going to be as good of a sire as he was a race horse, like his daddy was over there.

Well, there's lots of Sunday Silence in the gene pool. Given that he was black, there's lots of the recessive gene floating around the Japanese TB population.

I used to play the "Sunday Silence" game while watching Japanese racing--looking at the field, and trying to figure out which horses were by Sunday Silence, or out of his daughters.

Oh my, they are so beautiful! Thanks for the photos. Deep Impact is not that old of a sire and he is having some beautiful offspring. He was quite a looker himself, even though he was not black, but a darker shaded bay if my memory does not fail me.

I was really hoping for a black foal when I bred my mare to Devil His Due, given that he has had so many pure blacks out of sorrels, bays, greys, etc. My mare is a blood bay and so was the filly. Pretty but I so wanted a black one.

Thanks again, I enjoy your postings, all of you. Happy Veterens Day to those of you that have served!

Thank you, Sunday Silence, for listing those. I'm wondering if any of them are good runners? I think I heard somewhere that he was not that great of a sire for the few he had at the time.

Damn! All those pure black TB's in Japan, all the way over there. There are so few here. Even Zenyatta's little sister, Ebliousante, looks black but is really a dark seal, dark like her sire, Bernardini. They are calling her black but she is not.

Devil His Due is a true black, saw it with my own eyes, and I ended up with a match of my mare, a blood bay :?
