I don't think this is answered in the other topic about breeding a gray to a cremello.
This is all hypothetical.
Say I have a mare that was born palomino and grayed out. (We will pretend she is out of a gray mare and by a cremello stallion). Can this palomino gone gray mare throw her dilute gene when bred to a NON-dilute stallion?
I am just curious-thanks.

50% chance to get the grey gene
50% chance to get the cream gene
But each chance is independent of the other.
Best way to get a feel for this is to take a penny and a dime, heads for cream and gray. Tails non gray, non cream.
Toss them and record the answers.
Sometimes both tails will come up, sometimes both heads, and sometimes one of each.
