white in corners of eye

Postby karenkarenn » Sat Sep 13, 2008 2:34 pm

Hello,
I have a question for anyone- anyone heard of Wall Eye. My mare Deaconess has white in the corners of her eye, much like Lava Man- does anyone know where this comes from?

Several researchers theorize (without tangible proof) that there ought to be a correlation between some of these patterns (skunk tail, belly spots, white scleras, etc.) and the sabino pattern. I also agree. Having said this, Deaconess is heavy influenced with bona-fide sabino ancestors. Wild Again, Icecapade, Vice Regent, Deputy Minister, Fighting Fox, Khaled and Heliopolis. The latter two come from the one-man-gang of color oddities Hyperion. Khaled is not any kind of son of Hyperion. He is a very powerful source, reason for which nothing rare or atypical may surprise here. For me all these patterns are sabino related, but mine is only one opinion and you will find many other perspectives.

White sclera is NOT a walleye:
walleye Definition
wall·eye (wôl′ī′)

noun

an eye, as of a horse, with a whitish iris or white, opaque cornea

A walleye, also called a "glass eye," is a blue eye with a whitish cornea.
