Thank you o much for bringing up this quite interesting case.
Sea Bird has proven himself, but let me tell you that Sadair was quite sabino in his production, oh yes!. Lyphard can be counted too. This case is all square up, but interesting indeed.

I work in racing here in the UK for a famous form compilation company, Pancake is quite the sight over jumps (ran at Exeter the other day).

I disagree that it's a shame he's a gelding though, he's an ok racehorse, but not good enough to be reproducing himself simply based upon his markings!

Would be nice for us to use such a horse, and since we are being advised by the retired stud manager of Thornton Stud who worked for the late sir Howard De Waldren he would adivise which mare of ours would suit him for Producing a Hurdler with Colour.
If you see anything else will you let me know please as we have a splash white TB mare here we would like to find a sire for next year she is in the GSB and we want to breed her to a good sire carring the Sabino gene with as much white as possible.
I am sure you are the person most likley to find one.

If you have a bit of cash to spare and can get in, then my advice would be go to Selkirk, he's one of the best sires in Britain, but also gets very very flashy horses, often with belly spots and the like. He's £35,000 though (I think).

Will have a think about cheaper alternatives!

Kirkwall is a son of Selkirk standing in Britain for £1500, he's got two fairly high white socks on his hind legs

Another option could be Double Trigger, big white face and four white legs.

Hi Tonno
Thank you so very much I have had a look at Selkirk what a good stallion to be standing at stud still at 20 unfortunatley I dont have £35,000 to spare right at this mo!
His son Kirkwell looks promising, I could of course use "I was Framed" but he dose not have a good racing pedigree over 4 generations, our 7/8th colt Angrove Rum BaBa has more winners and money won in his 4 generation pedigree and he is not pure TB.
I also think that if I cross Tosca or What a Blaze with a Homozygous Sabino or max expression Sabino I should get a loudly marked sabino or splash white sabino that will do a job here at our stud after his /her racing career has finished.
I look foward to any news on the subject.
Thank you.
