Polish Rifle?

Postby pfrsue » Tue Feb 03, 2009 9:34 am

Consider me confuzzled. Noticed Polish Rifle in the Equine Now ads and there's a picture there of a very nice looking black stallion. I looked him up on PQ and it indicates that he's bay and there's a picture of an indisputably bay horse running in a race.

From the information posted, this is supposed to be the same horse. And yes, I know that a bleached out black will look bay, but I don't even think their heads look quite the same. (Although the angle is hinky on the ad, so who knows for sure?) Anyone know what the deal is with him?

My interest, btw, is purely idle. :)

No idea, as I dont know the horse personally, but a few options of whats going on comes to mind. 1. whoever is running the ad put the wrong photo in by accident or 2.the photo on his pedigree page isnt of him but of someone else or 3.the photos are of the same horse, but with extreme sunbleaching. Im not sure which I find more likely.

If it is the same horse he is just bleached out that is all. It looks like it could be him. Just shows how much they can bleach out. The one next door is a seal brown and turns a buckskin color in the summer because there is little shade where he is.

I think he is registered bay by the JC.
