When I saw the photo of this beautiful equine:

I first wondered if this was a very unusual version of the gray gene, since from the photo his main body seems like a graying-out horse. But no, its only a visual perception for he is not a "gray", he is a "gold champagne". A beautiful one indeed.
But now I ask: have you ever seen or know of a genuine gray Thoroughbred (or equine) sporting a genuine white mane and tail such as this wishful thinking "gray"? I am not sure about the existance of such a case but who knows.
(p.s. I read in one of the champagne sites that the champagne and gray genes can act together.)
The most unusual gray phenotype......not yet!

In short, I am asking for a gray Thoroughbred (or equine) with a white or flaxen white mane and tail, like if pretending that the following horse is a gray.

Although we know that the gray "color" is not really a color per se, there seems to be something interesting about the combination of a gray with a champagne. The experts may put their two cents here!
