Guaranteed Gold / Puchi Trap filly arrived this morning ...

Postby TrueColours » Tue Jun 02, 2009 12:26 pm

We had our final foal of the season early this morning - the much anticipated Guaranteed Gold / Puchi Trap foal - a beautiful and BIG and leggy palomino TB filly, who is a full sister to Faux Finish, Chai Latte, Remember My Name and Nightlight. She was due June 13th but decided to go early, thank goodness ... :)

Here are some pictures and please forgive the "crumpled" appearance but the poor thing IS only about 10 hours old in these pictures!!! :)

She is one big baby! I felt so sorry for Puchi Trap having to pop this one out!

Congrats to everyone else on their babies as well! :)

Very nice filly, Donna. Interesting that your bay mare had a palomino this go-round.....weren't all the others varying shades of buckskin? Someone passed on a red gene!

So that makes two palominos, one smokey, one sooty brown and one buckskin! You just need a sooty palomino and you'll have the whole collection, let us know how she dries out!

She sure does seem like a big girl, like really like her frame!
I think our paly filly by Red White N Gold is definately going to be a chocolate palomino, almost looks to be shedding off buckskin, but mane and tail are creme, and she has the creme dappling on her ears already.

helen - thanks for keeping track  but I believe this makes 2 palomino's (this filly and Remember My Name), 3 buckskin's (Faux Finish, Stonewashed and Chai Latte), and 1 smoky (Nightlight) ... :)

which did you think was the sooty brown - the Chai Latte filly?

The approval is pending for the name I chose for her. I wanted "Some Like it Haute" but they said it was too close to "Somelikeithott" already in use. So the JC site shows my 2nd choice was approved and I guess by tomorrow it will be through

I saw this name used many many years ago on a stunning & flashy chestnut filly and have loved it ever since. They recently released it and I just snagged it! :)

Dear Donna,

Congratulations on such a big, well-developed palomino filly. Great!
May the Good Lord Bless her dearly and develop her into a splendid
sports participant and prolific matriarch.

Can you add some descriptions on the extent of her white markings?
Seems to me that she inherited a lot of her fashion from her dad, right?
Beautiful and Splendid!

All the Best,

Yeah Darla's Little Girl is definitely a sooty brown, wish she would give more pictures of the girl too! Completely forgot about Stonewashed but from what it looked like he was a sooty brown too! They don't look like your average buckskins and Mr. GG is a brown carrier so it's not a stretch.
