I know only one smoky black and that is Donna's Nightlight. Smoky Creams NONE that I would know of.

Well a smokey cream will be hard to produce... but I think Donna has the horses to do it (as long as Pearlescent is 'Aa'). We can hope this year's foal will be one.

I think there are a few that people think are smoky blacks, but they havent done the testing to find out for sure

I know that Gwen's filly by GG she strongly believed was smoky black, but when the test results came back it was a very dark and charcoally buckskin instead

So - a verified smoky black - the only one so far appears to be the TCF Nightlight filly

And with the GG/Pearlescent 2010 foal, that one has a 50% chance to be cremello, 25% perlino and 25% smoky cream

Only about 67 more days to go to find out ...

I always admire the devotion you color enthusiasts have for your niche of the industry and I love looking at the photos but I've yet to see a mare who I think has enough genetics to offset a lot of these non-racing color stallions... until now.

That first foal listed on that page is out of the mare All That Velvet. She comes from a dynamite family. She also has some really interesting bloodlines up top, even if her sire and his sire, Lines of Power never left much of a mark. But both have families that are terrific.

It's nice to see a lot of these bloodlines being upgraded and hopefully more success will happen on the track to legitimize all the hard work you enthusiasts put into it from the rest of the industry.

Western Hemisphere is listed as a chestnut but she sure doesn't look it, but maybe it's just the picture.
