Blazing Colours up on Mare Stare!

Postby BlazingColours » Wed Apr 07, 2010 7:30 pm

I finally have been able to get this system operating. Currently there are 4 camera's that rotate through each other. http://www.marestare.com/fcam.php?alias ... oloursfarm

BUT since I have a mare who has gone from 50 to 250 on the chem. milk test I have stopped it on her for now. This mare is Adorable who is bred to El Dorado. She should foal tonight or in the next 24 hours.

So the cameras show Adorable who is a chestnut with white markings, Oilily VDL who is a bay with a palomino colt (by Mirabeau) at her side and Fascination II who is infoal to Mirabeau and at 80-90 on the chem milk test. Then there is a black screen where a 4th camera will be put in tomorrow.

So Adorable is now at 400 so it simply has to be this evening. She has been restless today and with the storms still passing through; it should be just enough to send her into labor. Would be nice if she was done by 11pm ;)

I totally forgot Adorable is out of Deebrand, and thus a half sister to the white filly Turf Club. Now I see where she gets the wild coloring!

Yes Adorable is out of Deebrand.

And very correct it is a palomino filly with two socks, a star and strip. And legs that go on forever! Text book foaling, she is up on her own, nursed 2x on her own and pooped. Good filly:D

That was Platinum.

She was acting similar to when a mare goes into labor but I had checked her milk colour earlier so I was quite certain she was not close to foaling. She when she went down two times in 15 min so I was concerned. I got her up sampled her milk and it read nothing. She did not finish her dinner so I thought maybe choke but I watched her until I saw her swallow with no problems. So I came to the conclusion that she has mild colic/cramps. So I gave her some banamine and put out in the sand ring with her buddy. So she is okay just getting some exercise and fresh air right now which is why her stall is empty.
