The horse and rider are

It's the Marquez de los Trujillios riding Zalamero. From Spain. Gold, team jumping in 1928.

Trio of Spanish riders and their horses who as a team won Spain’s first ever gold medal in Olympic games at the Amsterdam Games of 1928.
Poland achieved silver medal and Sweden bronze medal.

I posted earlier about an old article about a breeder in WA that was breeding high percentage TB Appaloosas. Although he was on the right track we knew nothing of app inheritance then. Now it would be so much easier to create an App colored mostly TB in more colors than just chestnut blankets/roan too! But he did have some nice horses. I guess he'd be dead now. Anyway I finally found the article and will send it to Jorge.

ACK if these are too big I can make links to them instead. The first one is Peone Fashion Plate 15/16 TB mare, second is Peone Run Red Run 7/8 TB stallion and third is Peone Lyt The Way 31/32 TB mare. All reg. Apps.

I'm sure they are all dead now, I just wonder if any of the bloodlines carried on?

Getting the spots into a breed is relatively easy. I've seen Spotted Percherons. Someone in central Oregon decided to breed spotted draft horses. Apparently this was for the circus trade. Don't know what the % of blood was, but the horses I saw looked like Percherons, just with the Appy spots.

Alas that "Points-to-Points" racing is esentially
limited to certain European countries like in
France. Am I right or is there some sort of branch
in America? What it takes?

Jorge just to let you know it is the Non Thoroughbred register in the United Kingdom but it is not limited to just, Point to Points it allows anyone with a NTR registered horse mare gelding or colt to race on the Flat, national hunt flat race ( which is what we did) longer distance 2 miles for horses with more staminer, over fences (solid Jumps) or over hurdles (not solid jumps) and Point to Point or any under rules races. I hope you did not think it was just point to points. :D

So can these horses ever advance to the GSB? That's what we are wondering. It is pretty easy to get the color in and the TB % up but if they have no hope (which I what I understand is the case here in US) of advancing to "full TB status" then there isn't much point unless you just like breeding TB looking Apps (or pintos)

Let's say that's pretty much the point I am interested in bringing up!

As per alluding to the term "Points-to-Points", I am only using it as a
"catch-all" expression to wrap-up all these "non-100%-percent-pure Thoroughbred" equines we would like to eventually coalesce into mainstrem TB racing and TB breeding. The term makes me remember
the pure white mare officially named "RACHEL Vi" (wh. M 1959), who about 15 years ago was registered with the Jockey Club. The nomenclature "Vi" after the name precisely stands for its "sui-generis" status. I am sure "Angrovestud" better understands the scope of these keyed expressions better than me.

We hope to breed this young colt to some black TB mares that are bred for racing and show, and market them accordingly. We will be pushing selling the foals out of good race lines for running.

I have found out that there are races for colored (paint, appaloosa) in the states, I will be happy when they make it to them and win. Maybe after that victory, they will run against QH, and when I'm dead and gone, TB's.

I bet people would sure love to see all of them running together, I sure would! :D

Yes the horses can get in to the GSB the 8th generation its known as the vechicle we have to go another four generations so it will be after my lifetime I am working on trying to win a race or more in the UK under our present system then the breeding programme will hopefully be more then us and it can carry on and then they can be exported :D
