I like the doubling up of Princequillo, plus Turn-to and Somethingroyal in his pedigree. These are good 'sport' TB ancestors as well as important race ancestors.

I asked this question on another thread (and got rudely jumped on) but I do need to ask it again. So please bear with me.
I see that Glitter Please's dam is listed as a buckskin - do we know the source of her colour? Did she have siblings or other foals who were also dilute?

I liked Glitter Please, and considered breeding to him. Nice horse.

Good luck with your new stallion!

Hello, I'm not sure if she had siblings that were dilute, sure makes one think it was possible, but she did have other dilute foals.
See her progeny link. We can't wait to see his 2011 foals, and bring in some more new racing blood for him too![/b]

thank you Reedhill.
Will he be standing to TB mares only, by LC, or will you also be providing shipped semen?

Bell- Lucky Two Bits foaled Intents Two Bits, a buckskin stallion http://www.pedigreequery.com/intents+two+bits

I leased the mare Irissari, a trakehner mare by McClurs Supreme Empress by Intents Two Bits. http://www.allbreedpedigree.com/irissari
MSE is listed as a palomino, and Irissari is definately a palomino, so this would definately make Intents Two Bits a buckskin even though he is registered as a light bay.

As far as siblings of Lucky Two Bits, they are listed as bays so no one would know for sure if they were dilute unless they saw the horse in person. I have no idea if Intents Two Bits or McClurs SE is registered with the JC or not.

Intents Two Bits IS JC registered as a 'light bay' & McClurs SE is not JC registered.

If McClurs SE is not JC registered I doubt that Irissari has Trakehner papers as the Trakehners only give papers to approved stock and if dam is a TB she must be registered JC to qualify for Trakehner papers. So what papers has Irissari?

Ah - but "registered" and "approved" are 2 completely different things ...

If she is registered and either hasnt received breeding approval yet, or was inspected and not passed, then none of her foals can get ATA papers

She has to be inspected and approved in SOME registry she is qualified for in order for her foals to get papers when the mare is bred to an approved stallion in that registry

There are a whack of WB stallions who are Trakehner or Holsteiner or Hanoverian, etc by birth and by bloodlines and that only takes them so far. Unless they then go for the inspection and testing in that Breed Registry, or get performance approved, none of their foals are eligible for registration no matter who their sire and dam are ...

Irissari has ATA registration papers. Her dam was not JC registered, and so Iris was only eligible for Official Registry "D" book papers, and she will never be eligible for inspection into either of the ATA stud books. However, her foals by a Trakehner stallion can be REGISTERED with the ATA, but, like her, can never enter the studbooks. Her offspring are still eligible for any awards and incentives that any other ATA registered horse is, I believe.

She may be eligible for inspection into some of the lower books with RPSI, or perhaps ISR, etc. which would enable her progeny to eventually enter studbooks...

Just saw this, and thanks Joie for clarifying that! I wish we had more info on Mcclurs SE.
