A new descendant from the grey-tail-male lineage of Dancer's Image has been informed, albeit he died a few years ago.
His name is MAJALES. Who knows if he left an entire grey son.

TARQUIN SILK
Well Tarquin Silk used to literally cry if i did not go and see him first, where i used to keep him and other TB's of mine, i had a superb stallion named RED GALLEON by Semitime/Semipalatinsk whom i bred, somebody poisoned him and he is dead, Tarquin Silk is a beautiful natured Stallion, when he was in training all the track riders loved him, he had smooth paces and could really gallop fast. But he did not go on to race due to a rotten syndicate, also the Trainer did not get him fit, the horse got fatter not more conditioned, took the money but did not put in the training, so i pulled the horse out of work, sod it, Trainers don't always do the right thing by the horse, also the Trainer hit him for no reason made the horse very unhappy, he got depressed, the only one who could help him out of his depression was his paddock pal RED GALLEON who kept whinnying him, until Tarquin reacted and started to eat and drink again. Mr.I.Boesse the owner of Steady Eddy informed me that Steaddy Eddy died on Anzac day here in S.Australia this year. So sad he was the Sire of TARQUIN SILK.([email protected])
I have a few brood mares and a T.B.Stallion, and his Son whp is a 3 year old

Color corner Tarquin Silk TB Stallion
Hi from Valerie in South Australia. I don't think anyone appears interested in Tarquin, a few negative remarks were made about Greys, they are only a color, anyway some like a nice calm grey, Tarquin Son.ULTIMO RAE is a Brown same color as his WINNING Dam.OCTICKLE by Eagling,Nureyev. Ultimo Rae is only unbroken now as I had a serious accident, and could not afford tio pay somebody else to break him in, i usually am able to do breaking & schooling, but due to my accident have since not attempted. That is the sadness i face now with a beautiful Colt not broken in, but handled of course a lovely natured Horsde, as his his Stunning Sire.TARQUIN SILK, even if some on this forum think Greys are just white horses with age, really a good horse color does not matter, as even black horses also get Melenoma's. So please don't condemn Greys, the HOT sun causes the problems with no shelter.

Interesting duo. Good grey candidate for a potential grey-homozygous, grey-tailmale produces if both are crossed with Tarquin Silk.

The third one (below) is also a good candidate for a grey hetertozygous, grey-tailmale
produce if she is crossed with Tarquin Silk.

CAN SOMEONE FROM AUSTRALIA TELL US MORE ON THIS GREY STALLION,
WHO SEEMS LIKE THE ONLY “GRAY-TAIL-MALE-LINEAGE” CARRIER LEFT BY THE GREAT NATIVE DANCER?
Any update on this lineage?

Re: TARQUIN SILK (1999) --- A sire? Any information?
As far as evidence suggests, Tarquin Silk may well be
the world’s only grey tail-male-lineage descendant
of Dancer’s Image, and who knows if also the only
one left coming from the great Native Dancer.
If anybody has found another strain, please let us know.
(Who knows if a surviving grey strain from George Thomas

still be around---see henceforward)
According to the following Australian Thoroughbred source:
http://www.studbook.org.au/Horse.aspx?h ... 7|0Tarquin
Tarquin Silk is described as follows:
“Tarquin Silk (AUS) 1999 grey stallion by Steady Eddy (AUS) 1989
from Eureka Girl (AUS) 1981, by Loving Jim (1974, by Jim French dkb/br 1968); bred by V.E. Sumner. SA

is still alive.

Re: TARQUIN SILK (1999) --- A sire? Any information?
The following 3 descendants of the grey OGURI CAP
(by the grey strain of Dancing Cap, son of Native Dancer)
have been found.
The only asterisk is that OGURI CAP is also carrying his grey color via his grey dam, White Narubi, whose color has no relation with Native Dancer, but from the a different grey strain, namely, Silver Shark. So who knows for sure if Native Dancer is the unequivocal grey gene provider here.
Runthroughtheturf (gray h 1995) http://www.pedigreequery.com/runthroughtheturf
Yamanin Take Off (gray h 1995) http://www.pedigreequery.com/yamanin+take+off
Osumi Bomber (gray h 1995) http://www.pedigreequery.com/osumi+bomber
(by the grey strain of Dancing Cap, son of Native Dancer)
have been found.
