Jorge, a pretty grey/blue for you!

Postby erhrdt3 » Mon Mar 21, 2011 12:18 pm

Hey Jorge,

We were going to call on this filly for a price, but decided against it due to the Unbridled's Song issues. She is gorgeous though, and has that grey/blue look to her that Eight Belles also had. What a shame Eight Belles broke down during the race of her life. So pretty.

Anyway, don't know if this will come out or not, but wanted you to see her. I really like the look of the filly, but my horse partner said unbridled song? NO WAY!

No Price Listed
Ocala, Florida 34482
Breed: Thoroughbred Sex: Filly
Color: Grey Birth Date: Apr 7, 2009
Height: 15.5 hh Weight: 1000.0 lbs
Registry: Jockey Club Reg. #: N/A
Temperament:

6 / 10

Maybe you can look it up under the title of the ad: 2009 Unbridled's Song "huge" Filly

Sorry, my computer is not working properly and I am locked out of posting links on it! Sorry Jorge, but I think you would like the looks of this one.

Jorge, it does not look like the photo is showing up, but perhaps you will see it. I know you have a way of finding EVERYTHING!!! :D

Yikes, I am afraid not few people think that way and I understand their concern.

As per the filly, thanks for the good watch. Hey, I am trying to understand if she is a big filly or a small one. But certainly she is a beauty.

Thanks for the fine courtesy. :D

Hi Jorge,

I was wondering the same, they said big filly, but I don't know if that measurement is correct or whether its a typo.

You know, you have me watching all the grey horses on the TV now!
And how about The Factor? It seems like this grey boy is just getting going! I think he can make the distance of the Derby and more, he started pulling away more and more at the end.

The beautiful grey filly Winning Colors won it on the front end too. (not that the color has anything to do with it, but it reminded me of that)

Jorge, wasn't there a special race on Halloween just for grey horses only? I could have sworn that someplace had that??

Thanks Jorge!! I knew you would know!

That would be fun to have something like that on a regular basis, racing fun days at the track, just for the hell of it. All bays, chestnuts, browns, blacks, greys, etc.

Course the hard bettor would not like that but it would bring some new folks in. And OMG, have some Arabians race! Talk about seeing the most beautiful horse there is running with the tails flagged, etc. Keeneland had one race for Arabs on TVG last fall I believe it was. So pretty!

On the CA fair circuit they race arabians. Mules, too.

according to OBS March sales results she was 26k purchase by M & M Racing Ag for Christy Whitman..

Nice catalog page though, but she was offered very late in the sale. Maybe she was also on the smaller side or had so-so xrays and it reflected in her price and the fact they are trying to turn her over so quick.

Didn't someone post Unbridled's Song stats a while back and he was petty good in all catagories?

probably because there are so many of them out there that get lucky.

I have heard, read, etc. about the fragility of Ub Song offspring, that he is a pretty, produces fast but fragile horses.

I think he would be better suited to sire show horses as he does get that blue grey color on alot of his foals, like Eight Belles was, that way all they gotta do is walk around a show ring.
