I would say dark bay, but it is hard to tell from a single picture considering horses' coat's get bleached out many times and from the look of his tail it looks more bleached than anything else.... :wink:

There is no such thing as "dark bay" IMO.

That muzzle may be bleached, but not to that extent. That is a classic brown.

Not odd at all. Genetically there isn't IMO. 99.9% of all horses I've ever seen called "dark bay" are actually browns. Genetically they are either bay, or they're brown, there is no "in between".
