I agree that I'd like to see the color on another frame, but I do like the color.

Look at his MANE!! Look at his forelegs! And that blaze....

Why's he ugly? I know nothing about conformation. :?:

I'll second the question. I'm not a fan of the color particularly but he doesn't look ugly to me.

I find the face ugly, with that patchy blaze and grayish lip...also the mane is unruly and greasy looking. The broken stockings also bother me, and in general he's a little blocky and not very elegant. Again, JMHO. Also, love flaxen but wish mane and tail matched each other more in shade!

I don't think he's ugly.

I don't see too much wrong with him, either!

I don't see anything ugly either. I thought he'd have terrible conformation and he is fine even stretched out like that. A good horse is never a bad color. I think his color is great too, love it.

Pretty is as pretty does, although I'm not especially fond of how much undermuscling he has on his neck even though he's only a yearling. He looks to have a slight ewe neck as well, which puts me off.

Otherwise, the rest of him looks fine.

I see I'm in the minority here, but I have heard that most instinctively find symmetry beautiful. There was a documentary on the human features of the face, and the more perfectly alligned they were, they more the test subject found them beautiful. So...
You gotta admit there isn't much that's symmetrical about this horse's markings!

I'm with Toccet. I'm seen a ton of horses walk in just a couple of days and this guy is a poor show walker.. watch that video closey from :9- :14 seconds and you can see he/she/it is sore on that front right (the spotted leg). He isnt engaging his hocks very much, and not over reaching or "tracking up".

He doesn't have a long loose walk to him, it is short and choppy. He looks sore, which could be why they are walking him on the grass. Grass hides a lot of little issues.

His positive attributes are he is balanced in the body and his over all frame is very nice. His side conformation shot at the end is lovely... but you dont make a good racehorse standing there looking pretty.

I've watched a few of those videos for KeeSep and I'm actually amazed how many seem to be choppy/poor walkers. Why submit a vid if it sucks?
