Native Dancer's best overall grey son

Postby Jorge » Fri Dec 28, 2012 6:54 pm

Who would you consider the best all-around
racing achiever and most stud-influential
grey son sired by Native Dancer?

I am tempted to think that probably the
decision has to be settled between NATIVE CHARGER
and DANCERS IMAGE.

Or who knows if other longshots
may qualify such as:

01. JIG TIME,
02. RESTLESS NATIVE,
03. BANDERILLA,
04. IRON WARRIOR,
05. MOVING TARGET
06. DANCING DERVISH
07. DELTONA
08. BEST DANCER
09. GRAND REVIVAL
10. SHY NATIVE
11. BIG NATIVE
12. BURLESQUE KID
13. DANCING CAP
14. EXECUTIVE OFFICER
15. FESTIVE DANCER
16. MITO
17. GALLANT NATIVE
18. LEGEND DANCER
19. NATIDAN
20. ODD DANCER

Please post your opinion in
order to choose a winner.

I just received the following e-message from a non-member
but I think this is very good opinion from her.

"Hi Jorge! Stumbled upon this post by you. Did you get any answers, as I don't see them. My answer is Native Charger in terms of immediate first generation progeny, but in terms of present day lasting influences it is Dancer's Image followed closely by Restless Native (in Kentucky Derby winners' pedigrees, for one thing.)

I would vote for Native Charger also with the caveat that I did not look up a single sire record! :D

I actively look for Restless Native in pedigrees because I find horses who have a combination of him & Armageddon in pedigrees, often have long careers. So I think the combination offers soundness.

But I'm not sure that necessarily means 'best all around racing achiever' as was originally asked.

Interesting comment. Any example?
