Do you remember the spartan PR-bred stakes winner Blanqui R? She was a very durable prolific champion and equally gifted as a broodmare. She produced Canadian champion Blondeinmotel and several other talented iron Thoroughbreds?

Well, be informed on the following update:
Blanqui R's last produce, a filly named Bated Breath (a very late full sister to Blondeinamotel foaled at age 24) has a 2010 grey colt actually racing in Japan.

His name is DAIGO HAKURYU (grey colt 2010) and here is his pedigree:

Sired by the grey, Swept Overboard, he has only started 3 times and here is his most recent start. To see the race chart just go to http://japanracing.jp/en/information/jr ... esult.html
then go to the column NAKAYAMA 1R and then click
1R_ MDN_ D_1800

Tough iron specimen matrons simply won't fade away that easy.
They simply project themselves through the ages at different
countries and circumstances!

The newspaper information on her mentions the following:

01. That she was a good runner and broodmare.
02. Sired by Quiz Star out of Gina Marie.
03. Foaled at Hacienda Don Tomas farm owned by Tommy Muniz
(Clarification: Isla Breeding Farm owned by Francisco Gonzalez
Rivera was the actual breeder but it coinceded with the selling of
that farm.)
04. She competed on 102 starts with 29 victories, 25 seconds, 17 thirds,
13 fourths, 6 fifths and 12 times out of money.
05. Outstanding PR-bred runners she defeated: El Gato, Barlovento, Cangrejito, y Yerba Buena (don't miss to read their impressive racing records).
06. Won 7 stakes races in a relative restricted stakes paradigm.
07. Her racing record reflects versatility at all racing distances
08. As a broodmare she produced Canadian Oaks and Shady Well Stakes victress Blondeinamotel; Beau Accent (Landaluce Visitation Stakes); and Ribot Blanquiar (sire of champions La Supersónica y Barbakoa).
9. She raced for the Isla Stable (Francisco González Rivera), and was trained by the highly-regarded Chilean trainer, Luis Salinas Sr, father of the very good rider with the same name whose height and weight guided him into an early retirement.
