I don't know, must need the money. He produced nice foals from those mares (they just have 3) so curious they'd sell him. Unless maybe they are getting out of "color" and into racing. Wish I could buy him. He's cool eye candy at the very least!

Might be but that is only a minus if you are race breeding (to sell or make a herd). If he throws good colorful foals and they sell each year then it isn't a problem to keep him. I don't know of another stallion (offhand) close to them that has that color production and is decent looking. On the other hand maybe they are finding it just isn't a good time to be producing horses of any kind! Who knows? I just wish I had the money to buy him and the 2 fillies!

His fillies were on the market for quite a while, they didn't sell very quickly. They are nice fillies, could be due to bad marketing or something. If I remember correctly he is very over at the knee, but he doesn't seem to pass this trait on to his foals.

The add says he was born contracted, that would explain the knees

It can if it was a result of bad positioning in utero or wasn't treated early enough. Or was just a bad case that didn't respond well to treatment. But normally contracted tendons just pull the hooves out of line, it gets any worse than that it is a moot point! He doesn't seem to pass it along though.

Remarquez
Thanks ACC photography! Just to clear things up- Remarquez was NOT born with contracted tendons, he is NOT over at the knee, and he produces top color and flashy solid foals who are coveted in many countries for racing, jumping, dressage, hunter/jumper, and junior mounts. My mom is putting him under saddle now and he is showing amazing promise as a potential upper level Eventer. His unflappable attitude, kind soul, and amazing conformation/movement is really gaining attention wherever he goes. With what he has produced, and what he is showing now, THIS is a boy people will want to keep their eyes on!
