We have marvelous race sires who can throw color, for instance Kittens Joy, but are owners of a modestly raced mare with wild marking willing to pay the full stud fee if they could get their mare accepted into the book?

I have observed that many people don't like to admit
they are fond of Thoroughbreds with unusual colors
(greys included too) or rare markings as if admiring
unusual phenotypes were something odd or weak.
I have talked with breeders who admit that, for example,
greys are very good sellers but they just keep this "secret" to
themselves because people like to convince others
that their prized top-notch runner also happens to fashion
a very attractive coat color by chance ---just as Secretariat!
But in reality what mostly attracted them was their color
before the pedigree they brag about. Perhaps more ladies
are more inclined to admit their admiration for atypical colors and markings over a pedigree than their counterparts.

Silvery Moon was put in a race much too hard for a first race, they should have started with an easier one and not just hopp into the step of a much more trained horse. After all he was just purchase some months ago.

I hope he gets another chance with a better fitting race.

Silvery Moon is listed as starter in Cologne, Sunday 16/06, 1. Race, 1200 meters (2 year olds), 5 runners, according our racing paper.

Hope he will have a better race results then in May.

Silvery Moon run this afternoon at 2.15 pm and placed SECOND - only beaten by a neck!

Well done, I have seen the video of the race (don't know what times he run) but he was gaining, congratulations to connections
