Very interesting case... very interesting pattern in a very beautiful equine. This irrespectively of the fact that he is not a Thoroughbred.
By the way, is this pedigree the correct one?

Not sure, is that a somatic mutation? It's when the code for turn grey either got turned off in that patch or never got turned on. YOu see it in greys now and again. The Arabian Warface? Warbonnet? comes to mind. Some TBs too but I don't remember their names. You also see it in other patterns like Apps and dominant whites and other overos.

Hi from France,
Jorge, the pedigree is the right one. Acorado I was a very good Holsteiner show stallion (bay) and died a few years ago.
I used him on a french mare but get no foal. I was breeding show jumping horses before.
His brother ACORADO II has a very original color face, is or was sire in ITALIA.
The grey color comes from: TB MAESTROSO, 2 generations further... you find LE SANCY !
and Anglo arabian RAMZES who goes to TB RITTERSPORN (NL), also grey:
GREY SOVEREIGN heritage....(Queen Herodias- The tetrarch and Nasrullah-Mumtaz Mahal !)

Sorry,
I made a mistake, it is grey TB MAESTROSO who goes back to
Grey Sovereign.
ACORADO has an inbreeding on the french bred leading sire in Germany: "COR DE LA BRYERE" (son of the good french chestnut TB RANTZAU, was 4th of prix Arc de Triomphe) and
3 inbreeds on grey Anglo arabian RAMZES: RITTERSPORN: LE SANCY
+ once grey TB MANOMETER where we find 3 generations further MAY QUEEN a daughter of ...ROI HERODE
