Can grey/roan skip a generation?

I just saw a photo of a Tapizar filly that had an unusual marking, and it got me thinking - since Tapizar is a bay and the dam of a foal was a chestnut/bay/brown - could the resulting foal be grey from Tapit?

No, Gray is dominant, can't be hidden like chestnut.
