This horse is racing now in Colombia. Looking at the picture, I wonder who does he get the color from?

Very pretty. AP has sired some flashy horses but don't recall any like this. I would suspect that this is either a new white spotting mutation or simply an extra loud flashily marked horse, maybe somehow all the color suppressor genes didn't make it in his genetic soup! None of the horses in the first 2-3 generations are known for throwing excessive white so I would lean towards a new mutation though! I can't find a pic. of the sire though, so perhaps he got a color boost and passed it on.

Just a guess, but you might look up Timely Roberto in this database and take a look at his photo and then search under his name for progeny and see the color descriptions/photos where provided. He stood here in Texas as a color producing/performance horse sire at the same farm where Glitter Please and other palomino/maximally expressed sabino thoroughbred stallions stood. I saw him once or twice at the farm and saw some of his offspring....that, and the mention of "Roberto" in the Vz Horse's same made me go back and check.

I know. Can't stand seeing scenes from Westerns for that reason.

Wow, the dam is obviously the source, her foals are amazing! I wish all of them had pictures. I wish SHE had a picture!! Now I wonder was she a new mutation (def. looks like a white spotted pattern) or was HER dam the source.
