Sea the Stars won again.

Postby BenB » Sat Sep 05, 2009 9:47 am

StS today won the Irish Champion Stakes, beating six of Aidan O'Brien.

He did it easily it was just like a canter at home, it took him only 100yrds
to beat Fame and Glory in the closing stages.

How does this end, how good is this horse?

That was quite the race. That has to be the best horse anywhere, this year.
Thank you for posting the link to the video.

Trainer Oxx said: "We'll have to consider the Arc now and he's also in the Champion Stakes at Newmarket but all his plans depend on the ground.
The Breeders' Cup is still a long way away and it might be too much of an ask for a horse that was trained for the 2,000 Guineas.

I agree with Georgerz - Sea the Stars is the best horse in the world currently running.

Sea The Stars won Champion Stakes but lost triple crpwn...thanks to John Oxx's stupidity and Myopia..the horse should be
given 2009 Cartier HOY and John the all-time chump of racing.

With respect Wangkw, but are you living in dreams? The Leger is nowadays a race without any commercial value and the horse was bred to run over ten furlongs.

The triple crown is something from the past and it is not something from this times

I would agree if St Leger was viewed isolatedly as a race. But boy here You have a monster which already won the two difficult legs
of the coveted crown..and more importantly..you got one which all of us believe has potential to make this mission accomplished at
the click of fingers...he is no ordinary runner in decades..not since the vibrant 70s...the St Leger this year is getting a weak field..,but
Sea The Stars was forced to turn its back on the best chance ever offered to a superd 4-legger...thanks to that idiot John The Triple
Clown.

The triple crown commercial value is enormous...any bids ?
