Golden Horn a great winner and Dettori great jockey. And for you all, he might come to the Breeders'!!

Last news, he will be retired next year at Dalham Hall Stud in Newmarket.

So it seems that the chance that Golden Horn will run at the Breeders' is increasing.

The French (Wertheimer et frere) are always dangerous: Aventure and Sosie.

The first afternoon of this year’s Arc meeting unfolded in bright sunshine on Saturday, but the clods of turf being kicked up in the Group One Prix du Cadran were a sign of the significant rain that had fallen since Friday evening. This changes the shape and narrative of Sunday’s Prix de l’Arc de Triomphe.

“Proper soft and it’s going to take a lot of getting,” was the verdict of Dylan Browne McMonagle after his win on Tennessee Stud in the opening Prix Chaudenay. That was echoed by Tom Marquand, the Cadran winner aboard George Scott’s Caballo De Mar. “It’s very soft but not heavy,” he said. “It would be an injustice to call it heavy because they’ve done a really good job of having us on the nicest part of the track and tomorrow it will open out again to freshen it up, but it’s testing.”

Pedigree was the key to the puzzle of the 104th Prix de l’Arc de Triomphe, as Daryz stayed on strongly to collar Minnie Hauk, the favourite, in the storied green-and-red colours of the late Aga Khan IV, his breeder, who died in February. “He was born for this,” Princess Zahra Aga Khan, his daughter, said. “On both sides, sire and dam, they were Group One winners at the distance, so he was born to get 2,400m and I think it showed.”

I remember that in the beginning breeders were disappointed in Sea the Stars' offspring, since they were not early. The Arc winner is a fine example.
